Scott Drobes

Scott Drobes spent two decades leading technology and operations organizations, including CIO roles at Deltacom and ExecuTrain, and as a member of the IT leadership team at SunTrust and CheckFree. These roles provided him with deep experience in technology, systems, and processes, which were brought to bear in his subsequent years spent leading high performing management consulting teams.

Most recently, Mr. Drobes led a management consultancy that focused on cost savings and revenue uplift within the Technology, Financial Services, Transportation, and Healthcare industries.  Key engagements included: Negotiating and implementing over $100M in non-personnel savings for FairPoint Communications while helping them navigate through and emerge from Ch 11 restructuring; Driving 8 figures in non-transportation savings for several global and domestic 3rd Party Logistics firms; Integrating the contract agreements for 2 of the country’s largest CROs during their merger, while driving over 25% savings within the associated spend.  He is considered an expert in enterprise negotiation and has written extensively on the subject as a columnist for CFO magazine.

Community Involvement & Service

Mr. Drobes has previously served on the board of the Georgia Special Olympics, and is enthusiastic about creating opportunities for children and adults with special needs.  He is also active with the Georgia Tech Mentor Jackets program, providing personal and professional development and advice to current Georgia Tech students.
